1968 Mustang Convertible

This 1968 Mustang has been the subject of a complete restoration. Beautiful black cherry metallic paint with 5 coats of clear coat to top it off. This car has taken first and second place in several Mustang shows in Washington state. A healthy 289 2V V8 power plant, throaty exhaust, power brakes, power steering, and an automatic C4 transmission, all make for an exhilarating driving experience. This is a top of the line classic Mustang.

Transmission is a newly rebuilt C4 automatic (rebuilt in October 2007). Tires are new, BFG TA radials (including matching spare). Suspension has been completely rebuilt. Brakes have been rebuilt and work excellent. Exhaust is new. Gas tank and fuel system new. Car is very straight, all body panels are like new, no rust or cancer on this car.

The only weak areas on this car is the top is not new. Nothing really wrong with it, just showing some fading. It has the 2 piece glass rear window. Also the car has a couple of chips in the paint, one on the trunk, on on the rear quarter, the rest is perfect.

Door tag decodes this originally as a Royal Maroon exterior paint with a black interior (76A B 2A 02D 74 2 W). Exterior paint has been redone in a beautiful metallic black cherry, This car was originally delivered to a Seattle dealership (DSO) in April 1968 according to the door tag. Axle ratio is 2.79:1.

Car has an electric top, new hydraulic cylinders and pump. AM/FM cassette retro head unit. Car rides and handles very good with all new suspension components. Car also has power steering and brakes and is a very easy car to drive. Let your hair down and relive the past in this dream Mustang!
